Ambassadors

Ampersand Artist Ambassadors are a select group of incredibly talented artists and instructors who use Ampersand products for their artwork and in their classes and workshops. This program was developed to partner with teaching artists to educate on the benefits of panel painting and to spread awareness of Ampersand's amazing surfaces.

Justine Mantor Waldie

Color was everywhere in Neenah, Wisconsin where Justine was born. Acres of golden, glowing corn surrounded the family home, while across the street groves of mature oak trees and apple orchards vied with spectacular sunsets as the glory of the natural world surrounded her.

Karen Vernon

Karen Vernon is a very active painter. She has been painting in watercolor, oil, pastel, or acrylics since her childhood. She has worked in watercolor for over 50 years and her skill in this medium is demonstrated in each of her paintings which are a visual enchantment of color and light.

Kristy Kutch

Kristy Kutch is a graduate of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, with both bachelor's and master's degrees in education, as well as a life license in teaching. She has taught almost 300 drawing workshops nationwide for students of all ages.

Leslie Guiliani

Artist Leslie Giuliani received a B.F.A. from the University of Delaware and then pursued advanced studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Finishing School, and the School of Sacred Arts.

Leslie Pierce

Leslie Pierce is a contemporary artist, known for art that focuses on themes involving coding systems, documentation, fragmentation, and technology. Her ongoing series, Code Defied (2013- ), evolved from contrasting flattened and modeled forms of the human figure.

Libby Kyer

Libby has worked as a free-lance artist in medical illustration, general illustration, fine art, art education, murals, supergraphics, book illustration, and graphic design for over 40 years. Her focus is on representational art, art education, and technique exploration.

Linda Kemp

Linda Kemps home and studio backs onto a wooded conservation area in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada. She is internationally recognized for her unique contemporary watercolors, acrylics, and innovative use of negative painting.

Linda Richichi

At the age of two, at the first easel my mom bought me, I remember thinking... "I am an artist!" Yet, as I grew older the belief in my talent grew dim because I didn't see anyone making a living as a painter and there weren't any art galleries in my hometown.

Lisa Goesling

Lisa Goesling microscopically examines nature and abstracts, creating hyper-detailed renderings of her observations on a nontraditional support, rather than the expected canvas or paper, she uses Ampersand Scratchbord, hardboards composed of Kaolin Clay covered in India ink.

Alabama native Lisa Opielinski is a professional artist with an undying passion for her chosen career, and she has been doing it for more than 30 years.

Micah Goguen

Micah Goguen grew up in Central Georgia and obtained his B.A. in Fine Art and Masters in Art Therapy from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Ga. Micah focuses primarily on bringing art to the community and using art as a form of communication for those struggling to understand and cope with life situations.

Pamela Smith Hudson

Pamela grew up in Wisconsin, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from UW-Madison in 1983. After moving with her family to Hamilton, MT in 1986, she began her serious study of art, and in 2010 received her MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Montana School of Art.

Pamela Caughey

Pamela Smith Hudson is a Los Angeles-based mixed media artist. Before she began exhibiting in 2016, Smith Hudson worked for 20 years in the art material industry as an art educator and consultant for some of the most innovative art material manufacturers across the globe.

Phil Garrett

Phil Garrett, a graduate of The San Francisco Art Institute, has completed numerous artists' residencies including The Sam And Adele Golden Foundation residence in New Berlin, NY, and has taught painting and printmaking nationally and internationally.
