A specially formulated gesso forms a bright, velvety surface on warp-resistant Hardbord™ that is ready to use for encaustic painting. The ground is heat resistant, highly absorbent, and holds tight to layers of wax without the fear of cracking or separation.
Highly Versatile
The lightly textured, absorbent surface is great with mixed media and can be used with both wet and dry media. Use Encausticbord with charcoal, colored pencil, heavy paint applications, graphic markers, collage, acrylic, and more.
